Eversource on track to have most customers restored by Friday night as massive force of utility crews continue working relentlessly
Feb 26, 2026
As Eversource’s battalion of more than 2,500 utility crews, other personnel and resources makes significant progress restoring power to customers across Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and other areas in southeastern Massachusetts that experienced widespread damage from this week’s historic blizzard, the energy company is laser-focused on achieving the town-level estimated times of restoration provided yesterday to the hardest-hit communities. As of 2:45 p.m., the energy company has restored power to more than 426,000 customers and expects restoration to the nearly 43,500 customers still without power to be substantially complete by tomorrow at 11:59 p.m – with the vast majority restored before that time.
