Energy Efficiency for Lower Income Customers in Massachusetts

If you currently  receive our Discount Rate, you may be eligible for no-cost energy efficiency improvements to help renters or homeowners reduce their energy bills.

If you reside in a one to four family unit home in Massachusetts, it all starts with a no-cost Home Energy Assessment. An Energy Specialist will assess your home and install complimentary energy-saving products like energy-efficient light bulbs, smart power strips, water saving devices and more.

If your refrigerator, freezer, window air conditioner or dehumidifier are determined to be inefficient and eligible, they'll be replaced with energy-efficient units at no cost to you during a follow-up visit.

Additionally, you may also be eligible for no-cost insulation improvements, air leak sealing, and an efficient heating system upgrade.

For more information, or to determine eligibility, please contact the Low-Income Energy Affordability Network or visit the income eligible page on Mass Save®, sponsored by Eversource.

Multi-Family Retrofit Program

If you reside in a five or more unit building or represent a non-profit entity, public housing authority, or low income residence owning or operating facilities with more than five dwelling units in which more than 50 percent of the occupants are income eligible, your building may be eligible to be served through the Income Eligible Multi-Family Retrofit Program.

Please have your landlord and/or property manager submit a request on the Low-Income Energy Affordability Network website.
