“We started this program to acknowledge the incredible work that our business partners complete every year to help customers reduce energy use and have a positive impact on the environment,” said Tilak Subrahmanian, Vice President of Energy Efficiency and Electric Mobility. “Energy efficiency and electric mobility are vital to supporting our mission to help provide cost savings for our customers while also working toward a more sustainable future. This year’s winners – with solutions targeting the supply chain, electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and more – are taking significant action to help achieve those goals.”

Eversource selected winners for the 2023 awards from a large pool of applicants across its three-state service area of Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Judging criteria was based on multiple factors, such as the comprehensiveness of the solution and out-of-the-box thinking. Judges were particularly looking for applicants to demonstrate how they were able to maximize savings and value for each customer. 

“We are proud to showcase our partners that went above and beyond to provide outstanding service for Eversource customers,” said Subrahmanian. “These awards celebrate seven fantastic business partners who are deeply committed to energy efficiency, sustainability and exemplary service for our customers.”

The 2023 Eversource Excellence Award winners, representing locations from all three states of the company’s service territory, are listed below: 

• Equity Award: Recognizes projects that benefited underserved communities or otherwise represented efforts to provide more equitable access to Eversource programs.

o Resilient Buildings Group – Portsmouth, NH

• Energy Efficiency Retrofit Projects:

o Large C&I (7.6 Million kWh/ 100,000 therms or more per year)

 Mantis Innovation – 26 locations across CT and MA

o Mid-Sized C&I (1.4 Million – 7.6 Million kWh/ 40,001 – 99,999 therms per year)

 Energy Systems Group, LLC – New Milford, CT

o Small C&I (1.4 Million kWh/ 40,000 therms or less per year)

 Efficient Lighting Maintenance – New Britain, CT

• Supply Chain Partner: Recognizes innovative supply chain partners, participating dealers and distributors, whose projects used energy efficient solutions to drive and maximize savings for end use customers.

o Graybar Electric – Farmington, CT

• New Construction: Design of the Year: Recognizes innovative C&I new construction, major renovation, and/or design projects.

o Arrowstreet Inc. – Acton, MA

• EV Charging Infrastructure: Recognizes outstanding Eversource EV infrastructure efforts that have been completed and energized.
