Eversource Energy Foundation

Our mission is to help build a healthier, stronger, sustainable and more equitable future for our customers and communities.

About The Foundation

We are proud to invest in organizations, initiatives and services that provide broad, meaningful and sustainable change in the communities we serve. In 2023, the Eversource Energy Foundation contributed more than $6.8 million to charitable organizations in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

The Eversource Energy Foundation is an independent, nonprofit philanthropic organization that is funded solely by shareholders from Eversource Energy and is dedicated to supporting our communities and making a positive difference in the lives of our customers.

The Foundation is governed by a board of directors. The board, composed of Eversource Energy officers, reviews Foundation program guidelines to ensure they reflect our values, mission and giving strategy.

2023 Accomplishments

We provided $6.8 million in grants and sponsorships, including $4.8 million to support diverse, community based organizations. Additionally, through our signature events we helped charities across New England raise $2.5 million.

    Community Partner Spotlight

We support these and other organizations that educate, inform and advance environmental issues impacting our communities.

KNOX works to build a greener, more sustainable and healthier Hartford, Connecticut with horticulture and urban farming-based opportunities. Our arbor department, through the guidance of KNOX and the city of Hartford, recently donated trees that were planted by employee volunteers at Colt Park.
The Charles River Conservancy is located at the intersection of the River and parks in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They work to protect this natural urban space for visitors to enjoy and wildlife to thrive. Their Earth Day Clean-Up was supported by our volunteers and a charitable grant.
The Crotched Mountain Foundation in New Hampshire works to ensure that people of all abilities can live, learn and thrive in their own communities. We provided a charitable grant and employee volunteers cleared debris and leveled park materials to make it easier for people of all abilities to enjoy the Gregg and Dutton Brook trail.
