Employee Volunteerism

Our employees are encouraged to use two workdays a year to volunteer at company-sponsored events that support nonprofit organizations.

Whether it's for larger organizations like the United Way and Special Olympics, or working at local food pantries and parks, we recognize that partnerships with charitable organizations complement our mission to deliver reliable energy and superior customer service.

More than 5,700 employees and their families volunteered over 29,000 hours at company-sponsored events, both in person and virtually, throughout the service territory in 2024.

Volunteering Spotlight

Campers at the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester’s Camp Foster in New Hampshire explored energy efficiency, drone technology, and pollinator gardens — and even got to climb aboard an Eversource bucket truck, thanks to our employee volunteers.
With the help of our volunteers and a charitable grant, United Way of Pioneer Valley was able to provide over 700 backpacks filled with supplies to kids across Hampden County, South Hadley and Granby in Massachusetts.
Our employee volunteers recently supported the 5th Annual Angel of Edgewood Back-To-School Extravaganza at Dunkin Park in Hartford, Connecticut, assisting nearly 2,000 children and families with registration, the kid’s zone and the equity exhibit.

Need Volunteers?

We are always looking for new community partners to support. If your organization needs volunteers for a program or project, please note the following:

  • Must be within the Eversource service territory
  • Must be able to accommodate a minimum of 10 employee volunteers
  • Project request must be hosted during normal business hours, Monday-Friday
  • Ideal projects must fit within the Eversource Foundation mission

If you have any questions or would like to be considered for an Eversource volunteer event, please email us at Volunteer@eversource.com.
