Home Energy Solutions℠ - Income-Eligible in Connecticut

If you meet income requirements, you may qualify for a no-cost home energy assessment and service

No-Cost Services

When you apply and qualify for the Eversource Home Energy Solutions - Income Eligible program, an authorized contractor will provide no-cost services over two in-home visits.

These services may include:

  • A comprehensive assessment and important health and safety tests
  • On-the-spot improvements like low-flow showerheads, faucet aerators and advanced power strips
  • A personalized report with a U.S. Department of Energy Home Energy ScoreTM
  • A Home Energy Guide with additional energy-saving tips for deeper energy-saving opportunities like insulation, heating, cooling and water heating upgrades

Continue with additional improvements

Your contractor will connect you to rebates and incentives, including vouchers to replace an eligible, inefficient refrigerator and freezer. You may also receive additional upgrades at low to no cost, like:

  • Insulation and air sealing
  • High-efficiency heating and cooling systems
  • Energy-saving water heaters
  • ENERGY-STAR® certified windows and appliances

A quality assurance inspector will be on site or may contact you post-service for an inspection.

Do I Qualify?

If your family’s combined gross annual household income is at or below the state’s 60% income median, you may qualify for the program.

If you already qualify for our income-based payment assistance programs like the Electric Discount Rate or the Matching Payment Program (MPP) you are also qualified if you have not received these services within the last six years.

If you intend to claim zero household income when you apply, you will need to complete the Affidavit for Household with No Income section of the application form. Please note, we may request supporting documentation to verify your income.
