No-Cost Services

When you qualify and enroll in Eversource’s Home Energy Solutions - Income Eligible program in Connecticut, a Building Performance Institute-certified technician will provide no-cost services that save the average participant $180 per year on their energy bills.

These services could include:

• Important safety tests on your furnace or boiler
• Weatherization including sealing drafts and air leaks
• Water saving measures like low-flow shower heads and faucet aerators
• An easy-to-read Home Energy Solutions - Income Eligible workbook, which includes the results of the tests performed and additional energy-saving tips

Continue With Additional Improvements

Your contractor may identify and recommend further energy-saving projects for your home, like:

• Insulation
• High-efficiency heating and cooling systems
• Energy-saving water heaters
• ENERGY-STAR^® certified windows and appliances

You’ll get an estimate of the energy you’ll save making each improvement. We’ll then connect you to discounts and rebates for these projects, including a voucher to replace an eligible, inefficient refrigerator. 

Added incentives

The more energy an improvement or combination of improvements will save, the greater incentive you’ll receive. You can receive these additional improvements at a substantially reduced cost.

If you decide to move forward, your contractor will gather all quotes and arrange installation for you. There is a possibility that a quality assurance inspector will be on site or will contact you post-service for an inspection.
