New Hampshire Municipal Battery Storage for Community Shelters
Batteries can help your municipality store clean energy generated by solar or simply provide backup energy when your municipality needs it
Incentive Options
Municipal customers can receive an upfront incentive to cover 50% of the cost of installing a battery (up to $200,000) at a designated warming and/or cooling shelter. The shelter must be made available to community members during an extended outage.
Funding is limited and provided by the New Hampshire Clean Energy Fund.
Demand response participation
To qualify for the upfront incentive, the battery must participate in our demand response program for three seasons.
After the completion of the third demand response season, the municipality is welcome to enroll in the ConnectedSolutions Daily Battery Program to continue participating in demand response.
