Large Business ConnectedSolutions

Businesses can earn money and save energy with our suite of demand response solutions

Find the Right Solution for You

Demand response solutions reward you for reducing your business's energy use during periods of high or costly demand, called peak demand events, with incentives available when you participate in these events.

Our team of experts and trusted partners will work closely with you to find the right plan for your business and facilities with little or no operational impact.

Pick your participation option

We offer two different ConnectedSolutions participation options:

  • Daily Battery program participants will participate in more called events, which means opportunity for higher incentives. You must have a qualified battery to participate in Daily Battery.
  • Targeted Curtailment is a technology-agnostic program where fewer events are called. Interval data must be available to participate in Targeted Curtailment.

See last season's event calendar to learn what to expect in a typical season.

Earning Incentives

After enrolling in the program, you lower your electricity use in response to us calling a peak demand event.

  • Daily Battery participants can earn a $200 incentive per average kW reduction per season. You will participate in between 30 to 60 events.
  • Targeted Curtailment participants can earn a $35 incentive per average kW reduction across all weekend events. You will participate in between three to eight events.

You may also qualify for an additional incentive of up to $1,500 if an interval meter needs to be installed in your facility.

Peak demand events

Events can be called only in the summer season, which takes place from June 1 to September 30. All events are called between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and last two to three hours.

You will receive a notification 24 hours before a peak demand event is called. Notifications can be sent via text or phone call depending on your preference. You will also receive a notification when the event is over.

Curtailment Service Providers (CSP)

Our experts and trusted CSPs can walk you through the ins and outs of demand response and help you find ways to lower energy use that work for your business.

CSPs provide demand response equipment and services, and in return for their services, you share your incentive payment with them. The split is determined through your negotiations with the CSP.

You do not need a CSP to participate or earn incentives, but their services often reduce operational impacts, provide valuable information about your energy use and manage our requirement of having your site's data streaming to our platform. Contact our eligible CSPs below to discuss their offerings.
