Solar Benefits

Save Money

Powering your home by solar is a great way to significantly lower your utility bill.

Exactly how much you’ll save each month will depend on several factors, like how much energy you used, how your home system is set up, how much sunshine there was and the contracted cost of your solar. In almost any circumstance, you should be able to reduce annual utility costs.

Plus, incentives from Eversource and the state government can help alleviate up-front costs.

Stay Reliable

Your house will remain connected to the grid, so if you need to use more energy than your solar installation was able to generate that month you'll be able to seamlessly switch over. In most setups you won't even notice the change.

If your system is generating more electricity than your house can use, you can sell it back to the grid and receive a credit on your bill for the net monthly excess. This process also happens automatically and will auto-credit you on your monthly bill.

We also offer solutions like home battery storage, which allow you to charge up battery cells in your home when the sun is shining and then use that power when you need it later. You can also pair these battery systems with our demand response program, which pays you monthly rewards for allowing us to drain some of that energy from your system when demand is high.

Increase Sustainability

Solar is a zero-emission energy source, so there's no waste produced to pollute the environment or contribute to your carbon footprint.

You can also pair this zero-emissions electricity with electrified appliances such as heat pumps and electric vehicles to further reduce your carbon footprint and support the process of electrification.

Even factoring in emissions from the process of manufacturing solar panels, a solar installation still produces significantly less emissions than sources like coal or natural gas over the lifetime of the system.
