In Plymouth, we recently completed the North-South Connector Project, a key safety and reliably upgrade to our natural gas distribution system system. The new three-mile, 12-inch diameter plastic mainline connects two previously separate gas distribution systems along Sandwich Road and Old Sandwich Road, increasing reliability to thousands of customers.

Without the North-South Connector Project, a disruption of gas supply to either system could leave thousands of customers without gas service, posing real safety risks in the winter. With the connector, gas can flow freely between the two systems from a second supply source, minimizing the change of a gas outage in either system while repairs can be completed.
