How to Add an Account
Learn how to add multiple gas or electric services to your existing online account.
What Does “Add Account” Mean?
When you first visited our website to view your bill or energy usage, you signed up with a username and password to create your online account.
If you have multiple services (for example, gas and electric or electric in two locations), you might not see all your services listed on your online account. This means you’ll need to add the service.
Steps to add a service account to your online account
- Open your Account Settings page.
- Expand the Select Account dropdown to see all your services tied to your online account.
- Check that the service you’re looking for isn’t already on the list.
- If you need to add a service, tap the blue Add Account button and fill in the form fields.
- The nickname field is optional but could be helpful if you have many accounts.
- Click or touch the smaller Add Account button below the entry fields when you’re done.
What Info Will You Need?
Be prepared to enter the following information to add a new service to your online account:
- The 11-digit gas or electric service account number (it’s on your bill or you might need to contact us if you don’t have a paper bill).
- The last four digits of the ID you used when you first started your service. This could be your Social Security number, driver’s license, passport number, military ID, business tax ID or other government-issued ID.
- Your mailing address ZIP code, or in Massachusetts, the ZIP code for the location of the service
