Distributed energy resource (DER) projects help support Massachusetts’ clean energy goal of being carbon neutral by 2050.  

Extensive system planning studies identified five project regions where electric system upgrades are needed to support the interconnection of DER technologies such as solar panels, batteries and wind turbines. 

The Cape area was chosen as one of these regions. Projects will be added as needed.
