EV Home Charger Demand Response

You can earn rewards by enrolling your home electric vehicle (EV) charger in Eversource's ConnectedSolutions.

What is EV Charger Demand Response?

The program rewards you for using less energy during periods of peak demand, when others are using more.

For EV chargers, during these periods Eversource will make slight adjustments to decrease the charger's energy use. You will still be able to charge your electric vehicle, but you'll help decrease the strain on Eversource's electric system while lowering your carbon emissions even further.

Your vehicle will charge more slowly, but you'll stay in control and can adjust your charger back to it's normal settings if you need to charge more quickly.


You will receive $50 for enrolling your charger and $20 at the end of each season for participating.

Expect to receive your enrollment incentive 4-6 weeks after being accepted into the program. Participation incentives are issued in the fall following the summer season. These incentives will be sent in the form of an Amazon e-gift card to the email address provided during your enrollment. 

Eligible Chargers

To participate, you must be an Eversource electric customer in Massachusetts or Connecticut with a Level II ChargePoint, Enel X (JuiceBox) or SolarEdge home charger that is Wi-Fi enabled. Your charger must be installed and activated with Wi-Fi connectivity prior to enrollment.
