Winners of Inaugural Eversource 'Excellence Awards' Announced

Ten Companies Honored for Innovation in Energy Efficiency as Part of Business Partner Appreciation Week

MANCHESTER, N.H. (March 29, 2022) – In recognition of its partners on some of the most innovative projects focused on energy efficiency and electric vehicles (EV) infrastructure, Eversource Energy announced ten companies as the recipients of its first annual Eversource Energy Excellence Awards. The energy company selected the winners from a pool of more than 100 applications and awarded each recipient for its continued commitment to help customers save money and energy.

“These awards celebrate 10 truly remarkable business partners that were focused on delivering energy efficiency solutions and achieving excellence while helping customers save money and reduce energy use,” said Eversource Vice President of Energy Efficiency Tilak Subrahmanian. “We are proud to recognize this fantastic work and hope that it inspires many others to embrace the many benefits of energy efficiency, providing cost savings while working towards a sustainable future.”

Eversource has been recognized as the #1 Energy Efficiency Provider in the Nation, saving customers more than a billion kWh of energy per year and cutting more than 4 billion metric tons of carbon emissions through its programs and partnerships. The energy company is committed to expanding access to clean energy for all customers and helping the commonwealth achieve its aggressive carbon reduction goal.

As part of Eversource Business Partner Appreciation Week, the energy company announced the full list of inaugural Eversource Energy Excellence Award winners:

  • Innovation Award: Recognizes utilization of an innovative technology, approach, or strategy to help customers save energy.
    • Rethinking Power Management
  • Outstanding Customer Service Award: Recognizes business partners who went above and beyond to provide superior customer service.
    • Center for EcoTechnology
  • Equity Award: Recognizes projects that benefitted underserved communities or otherwise represented efforts to provide more equitable access to Energy Efficiency or EV Infrastructure services.
    • Energy Resources USA
  • Strategic Initiatives Award: Recognizes efforts to engage customers in continuous and comprehensive energy management strategies such as controls optimization, efficient operations and maintenance (O&M) strategies, retro-commissioning, or long-term energy management plans.
    • Honeywell
  • Energy Efficiency Retrofit Projects:
    • Large C&I (7.6 Million kWh/ 100,000 therms or more per year)
      • Mantis Innovation (formerly Fairbanks Energy Services)
    • Mid-Sized C&I (1.4 Million – 7.6 Million kWh/ 40,001 – 99,999 therms per year)
      • Environmental Systems Corporation
    • Small C&I (1.4 Million kWh/ 40,000 therms or less per year)
      • Lime Energy (A Willdan Company)
  • Supply Chain Partners: Recognizes innovative supply chain partners, participating dealers and distributors, whose projects used energy efficient solutions to drive and maximize savings for end use customers.
    • Electrical Wholesalers (U.S. Electrical Services Inc.)
  • New Construction: Recognizes C&I new construction/design projects that were completed in 2020.

  • EV Infrastructure: Recognizes outstanding Eversource EV infrastructure efforts completed and energized in 2020.
