Our Commitment

We aim to cultivate an engaged workforce that values different perspectives and cultural backgrounds, providing the resources needed for success. Each employee brings unique qualities and experiences that enrich our company and strengthen our connections with customers and communities.

We believe that true innovation occurs when everyone has equal access to tools, resources and opportunities to excel and perform at their best.

Building Our Workforce

The success of our mission and the strength of our organization rely on our employees and their broad range of backgrounds and experiences.

To create a dynamic workplace full of opportunities for all, our approach to acquiring talent includes leveraging our Business Resource Groups, as well as broadening our direct reach through partnerships with community-based organizations, external strategic partners and academic institutions at the middle, high school and two- and four-year college levels.

Business Resource Groups

Our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) embrace individual and collective differences, contribute to our employees' personal and professional development, and offer the opportunity for our employees to connect with each other. Our BRGs, which are voluntary, employee-led and open to all employees, meet regularly and host multiple events annually to celebrate and support employees, focusing on specific cultural identities or shared experiences.

They also offer opportunities for people of similar backgrounds, and allies, to gather and discuss issues impacting their communities and create awareness on how we can all play a part in fostering a respectful and supportive work environment for all.

There are seven BRGs:

  • New Hire Business Resource Group
  • Women's Business Resource Group
  • Veterans Business Resource Group
  • Multicultural Business Resource Group
  • Rising Professionals Business Resource Group
  • Pride+Allies Business Resource Group
  • AdaptAbility Business Resource Group

All employees, regardless of background, are encouraged to join any or all of our BRGs.

Strategic Partnerships

Some of our key partners who have a proven impact on advancing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and the skilled trades:

  • Hack Diversity: Breaks down barriers for underrepresented professionals by building access for the next generation in tech.
  • ReadyCT: Advances academic excellence and career-connected learning for all public school students in Connecticut through collaboration with business, civic and educational leaders.

We strengthen our workforce through various dynamic programs and strategic partnerships, including:

  • Collaborate with educational institutions and unions to offer certificate and apprenticeship programs.
