We value our natural resources and are committed to protecting them while holding ourselves accountable for the impact our business may have on the environment.

We are continuously evaluating our response to climate change, including planning for severe and frequent weather events and protecting vital services for our customers.

We're developing more than 4,000 megawatts of clean, renewable energy from offshore wind — enough to power more than one million homes.
We planted more than 6,500 trees compatible with overhead wires. We also saved 681 million gallons of water through a dedicated water conservation program.
We decreased our greenhouse gas emissions by 17% between 2018 and 2020 by focusing on line loss, methane, SF6, our facilities and our fleet.
How we protect the environment


We are dedicated to serving our communities and providing excellent customer service while promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.

Our success depends on the best efforts of our engaged team — more than 9,000 dedicated employees — who take pride in their work, exhibit collaboration and support each other in working safely every day.

We contributed more than $6 million to charitable organizations and more than 4,000 employees volunteered nearly 27,000 hours.
More than 2.35 million electric and 166,000 gas customers participated in our energy efficiency programs, generating over $200 million in annual savings.
Our D&I Council and six Business Resource Groups actively contribute to the integration of diversity, equity and inclusion. In 2020 we also formed a Racial Equity Task Force.

Our experienced and diverse governance leaders ensure that our purpose is clear and that our actions are managed effectively with careful consideration to economic circumstances, regulatory requirements and our ethical responsibilities.

All officers and employees receive communication and training on the Code of Business Conduct that includes corporate policies such as Conflict of Interest, Fraud Prevention and Detection, Prevention of Discriminatory Harassment and Fitness for Work.
