Electric Vehicle Charger Rebates for Massachusetts Businesses
The only business EV charging applications we are able to accept at this time are for Level 2 EV Charging in Large Multifamily residences.
Due to a high level of interest in incentives, EV charging incentives for all other projects for business, including Level 2 projects in any other Massachusetts location or segment, are approaching program capacity.
We have reserved the maximum available rebates for DC Fast EV charging projects for the current project term, which runs through December 31, 2026.
To apply for a Multifamily rebate, or if you have already begun the process of applying for a rebate of a different type, information on the program is available below.
EV Charging and Your Business
We are helping increase access to electric vehicles by supporting up to 100 percent of the infrastructure costs for thousands of new charging stations across Massachusetts.
These chargers are a valuable amenity to improve property value, demonstrate corporate responsibility and achieve sustainability goals, attract tenants, visitors, and guests, increase employee satisfaction, and much more.
Who can apply?
We offer our rebate to businesses of all types across Massachusetts, to help you install chargers in places like public parking lots, commercial office buildings and shopping centers, as well as solutions for multi-unit residential dwellings and light-duty fleets.
After applying, you must also apply for all available state and federal funding you are eligible for, including the MassEVIP program.
All options are subject to program availability and use the rebate process outlined below.
How To Apply
You'll start by picking an installer who will work with you through the process of installing your EV chargers and may assist you in applying for all available rebates and incentives.
Your installer will help you:
- Choose an eligible make and model of EV charger
- Identify a charging location
- Apply for the project rebate on your behalf
- Install electrical infrastructure and chargers
- Fully connect and activate chargers for use
Next steps
Once you have connected with an installer, you're ready to move on towards activating your charger and getting your EV charging rebates.
You might qualify for even more savings
Depending on how many charging ports you're looking to install, you may be eligible for up to a 50% rebate on the cost of purchasing some of your EV chargers. Your installer should help you identify if this additional rebate applies to your project, and will manage the application process for your project.
If your business is located in an Environmental Justice community, you may be eligible for rebates up to 100% of the cost to purchase up to 10 EV charging ports, in addition to the EV charger infrastructure rebate.
Environmental Justice (EJ) communities are identified by the state of Massachusetts. Visit the state's Environmental Justice Populations map to see if your business is eligible for this additional rebate opportunity.
