Energy Efficient Homes and Decarbonization in Massachusetts

Decarbonization is the process of lowering your carbon footprint by reducing your greenhouse gas emissions. One way to do this is to create a more energy-efficient, all-electric home and evaluate your sources of energy.

Discover the financial incentives and programs that help you achieve greater sustainability at home. Select an icon to see opportunities to save throughout your house.

Some of the solutions shown here require “electrification” which is replacing oil, propane or natural gas systems or appliances with electric.

It’s important to remember that switching from a fossil fuel source to electric power might cause your electricity bill to increase, even while you see that fossil fuel bill decrease or disappear.
