Energy company continues positioning equipment and other resources based on most recent forecasts

MANCHESTER, N.H. (August 21, 2021) – Upgraded to Hurricane Henri as it approaches New England, Eversource continues its massive preparation effort to be ready to respond. The energy company has hundreds of line, tree and service crews in New Hampshire to serve customers and will continue closely monitoring the forecast to position workers, equipment and other resources accordingly.

“With the continued westward shift in Henri’s track over the past 24 hours, we’ve been positioning crews, equipment and other resources accordingly so that we’re ready for the damage we can expect to see from this storm,” said Eversource NH President Joe Purington. “From line, tree and service crews to troubleshooters, damage assessors, wire guards and other support staff, we currently have hundreds of workers across the Granite State prepared to work around the clock to serve our customers, and we will continue to shift and position those resources based on updated forecasts. As Henri approaches landfall in New England, we are singularly focused on our responsibility to restore power as quickly as safely possible for our customers.”

Eversource urges customers to always stay clear of any downed wires and to report them immediately to 911. Be sure to report any outage online at www.eversource.com, or by calling 800-662-7764. Customers who signed up for the company’s two-way texting feature can send a text to report an outage and receive outage updates as they happen. Customers can also download Eversource’s mobile app to report and check outages. Eversource also recommends customers assemble or restock a storm kit with essential items, including non-perishable food, water, medications, batteries and first aid kit, and make sure that all wireless communications devices are fully charged.
