These heat pumps* are good for homes that lack ductwork, or for cooling single rooms.

Central AC 

Often the most energy-efficient HVAC solution for cooling an entire home.

What else can impact your costs?

Details can add up to impact your cooling costs in a big way. Here are some factors to consider when deciding what HVAC solution to buy, and how you run your equipment:

  • The size of the space you're cooling. A big room with high ceilings will take more energy to cool down than a smaller area. 
  • The temperature outside. Your HVAC system will have to work harder to keep you cool when it's really hot outside. 
  • Humidity. When it's humid in your home, your system needs to work extra hard to keep you cool, resulting in higher energy costs and extra wear and tear on the system.
