New Hampshire In-School Energy Efficiency Programs

Eversource offers various fun offerings for students and families throughout the year on learning how to save energy as a family. Families that participate and submit what they have learned are eligible to win prizes.

The NHSaves Education Challenge is a K-12 writing challenge that prompts students to write about their energy use and consider the role it plays in their lives.

The challenge is available to students who are learning in the classroom and at home. All prompts and rubrics are aligned with Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Winning entries will be published in various media outlets, and prizes are sent to winning student authors.

Teachers can take advantage of free New Hampshire Energy Education Project (NHEEP) curriculum support to work NGSS-aligned energy content into their curriculum.

Support includes a free instructional toolkit and virtual workshops that focus on teaching energy efficiency to all grade levels—designed for students learning from home.
