The Thames River is home to the historic Yale-Harvard Regatta, which can be viewed from Bartlett’s Cove. Each year, the winner of the race gets to paint the rock at Bartlett’s Cove in their school colors.

Across the Thames River from Bartlett’s Cove is the historical Fort Decatur, a U.S. Army blockhouse, where one of the battles of the War of 1812 was fought. Just south is The Connecticut College Arboretum, a 750-acre arboretum and botanical garden. Together, these properties create a large area of rare, historical, and recreational opportunities.

Take exit 79 off I-395 for CT-163, Turn left on Oakdale Road and continue onto Palmerstown Road. Turn Right onto Norwich-New London Turnpike, turn left onto Comstock Ave then Right on Lathrop Road. Take your first left onto Lower Bartlett Road.
