Responsible Appliance Recycling
Do you have a working but inefficient refrigerator or freezer you'd like to dispose of in Massachusetts? You can get it picked up at no cost, have it responsibly recycled and receive a $75 rebate.
Plus, customers recycling a refrigerator or freezer can have an inefficient, working dehumidifier picked up at the same time to receive an additional $30.

Rebate details and requirements
- Allow six to eight weeks after pickup for incentive processing.
- This offer is limited to two units per household per appliance type per calendar year.
- Applicant must be an Eversource residential electric account holder.
- Appliance must be picked up at the service address on your billing account.
- Applicant must own the appliance.
- Water line must be disconnected.
- Refrigerators and freezers must be regular household size (10-30 cubic feet).
- Appliance must be in working (cooling) order, empty, clean, defrosted and plugged in at the time of pick up.
- Refrigerator and/or freezer must be scheduled for pickup via phone or email beginning Jan 1, 2025, and picked up no later than December 31, 2025, to qualify for the $75 rebate.
