Here in New England, tree limbs and branches are the leading cause of power outages. Improved electric system safety and reliability are the result of a strong vegetation management program here at Eversource.
As part of our response to COVID-19, Eversource is limiting activities to those that are critical or essential to the safety and reliability of our system. Tree Assessment requests for non-emergency tree concerns are being temporarily suspended to limit interactions between our employees and customers. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
To encourage social distancing, our arborists and contractors will seek to obtain customer consent by email or phone for any tree work that is planned on or near a customer’s property. During this time, we will no longer use door hangers or personal contact to obtain consent.
Please note, the information in this section applies to our distribution tree trimming and vegetation management program pertaining to the poles and wires on the roadways next to your home or business.
