How it works:
When you choose to enroll an eligible Wi-Fi-enabled window air conditioner or mini-split in our ConnectedSolutions demand response program, you agree to let Eversource make slight adjustments to your temperature setting or turn your air conditioner on and off periodically to lower your energy use during times of peak demand.
Times of peak demand are when everyone is using electricity the most, which often requires additional power generation with more expensive and more polluting fuels.
You help us lower carbon emissions, and earn $20 for your help.
You maintain control of your air conditioner or mini-split during peak demand events and can opt out of adjustments at any time.
All events will last for three hours and occur between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on non-holiday weekdays between June 1 and September 30. Notification will be sent out prior to and after all events.
How to enroll:
If you already own an eligible Wi-Fi-enabled window air conditioner or mini-split you may receive a notification from the device manufacturer asking you to enroll.
