Natural Gas Vehicles
Natural gas fleet vehicles are clean burning and produce nearly zero emissions. Best of all, they rely on North American supplies of natural gas - not imported oil.
Americans’ awareness of the value and potential of natural gas fuel for vehicles is growing - in government, with fleet owners, individual consumers and with those concerned about energy security and the environment.
Currently there are about 112,000 natural gas vehicles on the road in the U.S.
Worldwide there are over 13 million vehicles powered by natural gas, with that number expected to grow to 50 million in the next 10 years. That represents about 9 percent of the worlds' transportation fleet.
